Funders Concerned About AIDS 20th Anniversary Event
February 22, 2007, Etcetera Etcetera restaurant, New York, NY

On February 22, 2007, former and current staff, board members, and constituents joined to reflect on the past 20 years of FCAA. About 75 friends and colleagues attended, and special remarks were made by current Executive Director Sunita Mehta, Michael Seltzer, our founding Executive Director, and Alicia Philipp, the president of the Community Foundation of Greater Atlanta, also an early board member of FCAA. It was a moving event attended by many of our member supporters, all four Executive Directors of FCAA, the founding Board Chair Joyce Bove, many former and most current board members and many of our staff members over the years. It was an opportunity for the FCAA extended family to regather, reconnect, reflect, mourn and celebrate twenty years of FCAA, and the overall message was that the organization’s work is even more critical than ever, and that we urge funders to recommit to the struggle to eradicate HIV/AIDS domestically and globally.
