10/12 Funder Briefing: Catalyzing Innovative Solutions in the Field for HIV and AIDS
FCAA & GBC in collaboration with The U.S. Fund for UNICEF
present a funder telebriefing on:
Catalyzing Innovative Solutions in the Field for
HIV and AIDS
Tuesday, October 12, 2010
1:00 - 2:00 PM EST
With over 2.5 million children globally who are living with HIV, and more than 400,000 children becoming newly infected with HIV and AIDS each year, there is an urgent need to pilot and scale up truly innovative solutions where they are most needed. When powerful organizations with the infrastructure, expertise and ingenuity to create catalytic change come together, how might the world be different for mothers and children with HIV and AIDS by 2015, as a result of these partnerships?
This teleconference is an opportunity to:
-
Discuss implementation bottlenecks to scale-up and the need for innovation;
-
Share samples of challenges and lessons learned in creating/deploying innovations in the field;
-
Take a first look at UNICEF's Mother-Baby Pack and Project Mwana as the initial pilots of the new UNICEF HIV/AIDS Innovation Fund; and,
-
Discuss future opportunities for engagement through the UNICEF HIV/AIDS Innovation Fund.
Featured Speakers:
- Rajesh Anandan, Vice President, Corporate & Foundation Partnerships, U.S. Fund for UNICEF
-
Jimmy Kolker, Chief, UNICEF HIV/AIDS Section
-
