  • The Office of the Global AIDS Coordinator (OGAC) seeks a new Orphans and Vulnerable Children (OVC) Senior Advisor. 

    The OVC Senior Advisor provides overall leadership and guidance on the development, implementation and evaluation of Orphans and Vulnerable Children (OVC) strategies and interventions for PEPFAR.  This includes working closely with U.S. Government (USG) agencies to ensure orphans and vulnerable children issues are appropriately addressed within the context of PEPFAR. Download the full position here.

  • The California Wellness Foundation  seeks an exceptional leader with significant expertise in public health, health care and related policy issues for their President and CEO.  The Foundation’s mission is to “Improve the health of the people of California by making grants for health promotion, disease prevention and wellness education.”   Since 1992, The California Wellness Foundation has made more than 6,200 grants totaling more than $780 million to more than 2,600 nonprofit organizations.  The endowment is currently about $900 million and the 2011 operating budget is $10.2 million.   • Health Equity Fellow Position with National Coalition of STD Directors (NCSD) and National Alliance of State and Territorial AIDS Directors (NASTAD). This is an exciting opportunity to work with two organizations providing national leadership to combat sexually transmitted disease (STDs) and HIV/AIDS.   The Health Equity Fellow is made possible through joint funding to both organizations by the MAC AIDS Fund.  The Health Equity Fellow will play a leadership role in expanding both organization’s capacity and priority of mounting a robust and coordinated response among health departments to address the STD/HIV crisis among Black and Latino gay men in the United States.  The Fellow will work with key health department leadership, community stakeholders, federal partners and policymakers to dramatically scale-up innovative, effective and tailored prevention approaches. The Health Equity Fellow will be highly motivated and work as part of a team, as well as maintain and develop new projects and work with minimal direction. Demonstrated ability to execute projects in a timely manner is required. A concerted interest in sexual health and MSM, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and a bachelor’s degree are desired.  Competitive salary, vacation, and fully paid medical/dental benefits provided.  Position is based at NCSD in Washington, DC. This position is funded for a single year, with the potential of extending based on the identification of additional resources.
