Reproductive Justice, Sexual Rights, and HIV: What Funders Should Know Teleconference

The growing feminization of the AIDS epidemic and the complexities of reproductive justice and sexual rights issues have forced philanthropic entities to examine whether their grantmaking is responding appropriately to the needs of its grantees. This is true on a local, national, and international stage. This call sought to better define “reproductive justice” and “sexual rights” and how HIV/AIDS fits into this grantmaking framework, and showcased the strategies of three funders who are finding ways to respond and advocate within their existing or redefined grant dockets, focusing on HIV/AIDS within reproductive justice, sexual rights, health, and community empowerment portfolios.
