As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to impact the world, FCAA wants to support our community in the ways that will be most helpful and effective.
As one step, FCAA has recently launched a new COVID Relief Learning Group to help connect those of us whose organizations have established relief funds to sustain access to essential support for marginalized communities and protect our courageous workers on the front lines. With a focus on preserving our global progress and support, we hope to learn from each other’s efforts and collectively improve our response by sharing resources and lessons learned. If you are interested in joining this group, or adding your resources and information to these conversations, please contact Sarah Hamilton at email@example.com.
Below is a collection of resources from organizations that are tracking and compiling information on the philanthropic response to COVID-19.
Below you will find:
- New Funding Emergency Funds
- Philanthropic Resources
- FCAA Member & Partner Responses/Communications
- HIV/AIDS Resources

- ViiV Healthcare: Announces new £3 million global fund to research the impact of COVID-19 on the HIV community and fill gaps in prevention, treatment and care during the pandemic
- Aidsfonds: COVID Response Fund
- This fund has been set up to support existing Aidsfonds grantees and partners with flexible, rapid and short-term funding for activities that mitigate the impact of COVID-19 on people living with or vulnerable to HIV. Grant max was €10,000 and funded around 50 proposals. Due to changing scenarios on ground in many of our partner countries in terms of lockdowns lifting, limited funds available in the fund, and our interest in continuing our emergency support, the max grant amount has been updated to €5000 per proposal. 1)Enabling community solutions and innovations to keep PLHIV healthy and continue their access to essential HIV and AIDS services, including life-saving ARVs. 2)Enabling innovative solutions focussing on HIV prevention among vulnerable groups during the COVID-19 crisis. 3)Provision of accurate information on COVID-19 to people living with or vulnerable to HIV. 4) Support for PLHIV, women, young people, children and key populations who suffer increased violence and/or human rights violations due to the COVID-19 crisis.
