Kali Lindsey is the Portfolio Lead for US and Global LGBT programs at the Elton John AIDS Foundation. Lindsey is driven by two things in his professional career: his belief in the inherent potential of human compassion and ingenuity throughout the world and his passion for improved quality of life for all people living with HIV and human rights for all gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender men and women. He held leadership roles with the former National Association of People with AIDS, Harlem United, NMAC and amfAR where his work focused on driving resources and technology to networks of people living with HIV and civil society to drive demand in global AIDS efforts. Lindsey has also had the privilege of working alongside brilliant and fearless advocates on local and federal policy committees and boards of directors for non-government organizations. After more than a decade in public policy, Lindsey shifted his work to supporting civil society in achieving their goals through grantmaking with amfAR and ViiV Healthcare. Lindsey is from Detroit, Michigan and received his bachelor degree from Eastern Michigan University. Lindsey was voted to the Board in January 2020.
