Access = Health A Conversation on Funding Access to & Retention in Care with AIDS United

Through a landmark public-private partnership supported by the Federal Social Innovation Fund, and leveraged with private philanthropic dollars, AIDS United’s Access to Care (A2C) Initiative has amassed three years of grantee innovation and data to share on increasing access to and retention in primary medical care for vulnerable, hard-to-reach communities.

Join this conversational case study to:

  • Discover how new grantee collaborations reach beyond HIV/AIDS to improve the total wellness of communities and individuals most impacted by the epidemic;
  • Hear what’s working.  Presenters will share key data collected during the A2C evaluation process; and,
  • Brainstorm with your colleagues on philanthropy’s role in addressing the urgent needs around access to and retention in care for PLWHA and other vulnerable communities.

 Speakers Include:

  • Dr. Vignetta Charles, PhD, Senior Vice President, AIDS United
  • Dr. Cathy Maulsby, PhD, MPH, Assistant Scientist, Department of Health, Behavior & Society, Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health
  • Dr. David Holtgrave, PhD, Professor and Chair, Department of Health, Behavior & Society, Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health
